Your Dog's Heart is failing—but there's hope

Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair (TEER) is a minimally invasive heart procedure that helps dogs with mitral valve disease live longer, healthier lives.

Your dog isn’t just a pet—they’re family.

But mitral valve disease is taking a toll. The coughing, the fatigue, the labored breathing… it’s heartbreaking to watch.

Without intervention, congestive heart failure could develop in the future. And the options?

Fortunately, there are options!

Why Choose TEER at
Olympic Veterinary Cardiology?

At Olympic Veterinary Cardiology, we specialize in Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Mitral Valve Repair (TEER)—a minimally invasive alternative to open-heart surgery. We are one of the few facilities in the United States trained and certified to utilize the V-Clamp device designed and developed by HongYu Medical.

This informal consultation may identify obvious exclusions to surgery which will help you avoid additional travel and diagnostic studies that are not necessary for your pet.

Current Scientific Literature

The largest data set regarding survival data is provided by Colorado State University with a publication (Potter, BM; et. al;

Clinical feasibility study of transcatheter edge-to-edge mitral valve repair in dogs with the canine V-Clamp device) on the first

50 patients performed. Subsequently, the CSU group has publicly presented data at a scientific seminar (November 16-17, 2024) with survival data on 110 dogs performed by this group.
